I would like to ask for the information regarding Spanish class for Foreigners in Spain. When will the registration for that class starts? and when the class will start? Because I read that the registration started on 18 April 2011 to 13 May 2011, but it does not mention the dates for Spanish for Foreigners class.

I get difficulty to get the information for the Spanish for Foreigners.

Hi,

First of all, although the EOIs are a national institution you have to bear in mind that different autonomous communities have their own rules and each school is different.

The registration period you refer to is probably what we call the "preinscipción"; very important for large schools where there is a greater demand and where you often find waiting lists for classes, also important if you want to do the level test to determine your previous knowledge and put you in the right class, not so important for smaller schools. The official inscription period is usually from 1-15 july and then again in september.

Although some schools organise summer courses, the academic year begins in mid-september and continues until the end of may. Some schools organise intensive courses from september/october to february and then from february to june.
